An RVA Thanksgiving Event Worth Sharing

Helping Others: Thanksgiving is a great time to spend with family. It is a great time to be thankful for what you have while also thinking about what others don't. While you're devouring that turkey and mashed potatoes, consider also helping the disadvantaged here in RVA. A few of the the charities throughout the city are Homeward, The Daily Planet and Ronald McDonald House. If you have nothing to do on Thanksgiving, join the homeless and disadvantaged at the Richmond convention center for the annual Giving Heart Feast event. THE SOLUTION IS US

HeyRVA... local Richmonder, James Warren wants to help find solutions for our gun problem in America. The recent school shootings and death of all those children and teachers is just hear-breaking. James writes, "The question is terrifyingly and sadly simple: How can we keep our kids from being shot to death? - Everyone has a role to play. Parents. Teachers. Elected officials. Concerned citizens. Law enforcement. Mental health professionals. Pro-Second Amendment. Anti-Second Amendment. Left. Right. Rich. Poor. Cities. Suburbs. All races. All faiths. The solution must be inclusive.Let's convene a conversation and work together to come up with a solution. Read more
