The Broad Apetit’ Food Festival
A Richmond favorite, this annual event brings out scores of food vendors so that we can try out their special dishes. There are also many bands that play.

Carytown Shopping
Carytown is a Richmond treasure. It’s exciting, eclectic neighborhood is known for its unique blend of boutique shops, diverse restaurants, and colorful street art. Richmond Folk Festival
The Folkfest is a big one. This unique music festival attracts tens of thousands of Richmonders to the Brown's Island waterfront to see eclectic bands and stroll through the vendor booths.
It’s a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity and musical heritage. Taking place year in October, the festival features an eclectic mix of performances from renowned folk artists and emerging talents spanning a wide range of genres, including bluegrass, blues, and world music. Everyone knows about Carytown and of course the malls but don't forget about the arts district on Broad St. This stretch of Richmond spanning the Monroe Ward and Jackson Ward neighborhoods offers up an eclectic shopping experience with anchor attractions like the Valentine museum and the National as well as noted galleries at Quirk and 1708.

The main attractions get a lot of attention but don't forget the hidden gems like the Grand Kugel at the Science Museum or Libby Hill Park at nighttime.
